Steve Matley is President and managing partner of Coast 2 Coast Equities, Inc., a real estate acquisition and development firm specializing in land acquisition, entitlement and development.
He previously performed these same services, in addition to outsourced construction management services, through his former company, DCM Group, Inc., of which he was the sole owner. Between the two companies and multiple project partnerships, Steve has managed dozens of profitable real estate projects and syndications valued at over a billion dollars.
Earlier in his career Steve was a General Building Contractor specializing in custom home properties; later he worked as an agency construction manager and expert witness with an ENR ranked top CM firm, headquartered in San Diego. Steve also served as VP of a production homebuilder.
Steve currently serves as Chair of Construction Management for NewSchool of Architecture and Design in San Diego, where he oversees undergraduate and graduate level degree programs.
As a real estate development and construction manager Steve has led project teams to build housing, high-rises, university facilities, transportation centers, houses of worship, public works and military facilities. He has successfully completed commercial, residential, mixed-use, industrial, public works, infrastructure and land entitlement projects.
Steve has been an active real estate as an individual investor for over 25 years. Starting with an abandoned geodesic dome in the Coachella Valley as his first fix & flip, he has purchased, rehabbed, flipped, and/or rented out residences in California and Arizona.
